    Default Can You Evict a Tenant Who is Very Ill

    If a tenant becomes ill and stops paying her rent, can she be evicted for nonpayment?

    Yes, even if you're sick, you're obligated to pay your rent.

    There may be emergency housing assistance programs available in the person's county of residence -- they should check with the county.
