    A defendant in Texas was convicted of state jail offense, and was sentenced to eight years of probation. Probation has been revoked. What is the maximum penalty he can now face for the probation violation?

    In terms of incarceration for a Texas state jail felony, he could receive a sentence of 180 days to 2 years of incarceration, with credit for any time previously served.
