My question involves criminal law for the state of: Connecticut
Let's say a person is given a ticket for an infraction an a state statute says it needs to be within a certain price and it exceeds the price, can that lead dismissal. An example; the person has to pay no more than $50 but no less than $25. The ticket charge is $75. Can someone win with this defense? The statue (Which means law) states that. In my mind, the higher price makes the ticket invalid.
