If the husband agrees to dismiss the marriage, then they can work toward reconciliation. However, if he wishes for the divorce case to proceed, there is really nothing that the wife can do to stop it from happening. As long as the husband meets the jurisdictional and legal eligibility requirements to qualify for a divorce, he can proceed with the divorce case.
