Default Getting out of the house in Texas

I am 14 years old but very mature for my age. Since I was about 9 me and my mom have been getting into screaming matches everyday. We just cannot live together! seriously now its began getting to where we start hitting each other. I have a couple of friends who will let me live with them and are able to take me to school. I was wondering if this was legal for me to be able to this. and is it legal without parental consent? Also i was wondering if i had any legal options of being able to be homeschooled by someone else. also if someone could explain emancipation laws to me better that would be great but not nessacary. thanks!

    You would need parental consent.

I have been reading posts like yours for several months now. It's always the same story. You fight with your mom. ALL TEEN GIRLS FIGHT WITH THEIR MOMS! Its natural. Hitting....not so much, but I have to ask, are you hitting first or Mom? When a daughter reaches puberty, she undergoes hormonal changes and confuses her physical development with maturity. At your age, most teens suddenly decide they are smarter than their parents or believe that their parents just don't understand. Honey, they do. We've all been there. Parents also have difficulties at this time because it is more difficult to maintain control. But, they have to at least try to control you or they are not doing their job properly. Tough it out. Be sweet. Fighing with your parents is a right of passage into adulthood. It will get better if you let it.

The only emancipation law you need to know is this:

A 14 year old cannot be emancipated in any state except California, and even in California to be emancipated at that age you'd better be either a successful child actor or a nationally recognized athlete.

Do you think Britney Spears should be emancipated?
