Default Caught Switching Price Tags but Allowed to Pay

My question involves criminal law for the state of: IL

TodayI made a terrible mistake in my life. I switched price tag in Walmart and tried to do self check after 10 min..a sales person caught me but didn;t say anything. She said that was not the correct price and removed the altered tag and made me pay the actual price . I was let go once I paid for it. They didn;t take any of my info etc...After leaving for home, I went back to Walmart and apologized to her saying that I made a mistake..She said nothing to worry about and..All positive when I asked if I am in trouble. The item difference is around 15$.. I am not sure why I did it and I repent for it..

Should I be expecting cops at my door step.? I feel so terrible, embarassed and tensed...

    Please help me...

I would just add that there is absolutely nothing they have in Walmart that is worth messing up your life over. I think you realize that now, and they are pretty good at detecting such things.

How she got caught is when she scanned the product, the machine knows the weight of that item. Once she placed the item on the table or bagging area, it knew the weights were different calling for a check from the cashier that was operating the machine at the time.
