Default What Can You Do if Your Ex- Sends a Sex Video to Your Spouse

A married woman in Florida had an affair, and allowed her boyfriend to record her performing a sex act on him. She is clearly identifiable in the video. She has now broken up with her boyfriend and he is very angry. What can she do to stop her boyfriend from sending the video to her husband, or if he sends the video?

Default Re: What Can You Do if Your Ex- Sends a Sex Video to Your Spouse

If she was over the age of eighteen at the time the video was made, her options are very limited. She consented to be in the video, and if the boyfriend is sharing it out of anger (not as part of an extortion / blackmail scheme) there's nothing in Florida law that would stop him. Florida has a "revenge porn" law, but it relates only to public posting, not private sharing. Florida Statutes, Sec. 784.049.
