    My 16 year old son got charged a open container Misdemeanor 32-3a in NY, what happens next?

    It depends upon where in NY this was. What county?

    You cited a section of some law that I am unfamiliar with. He should have been charged under the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law but there is no such section there.

    What law was your son charged with violating and how do you know it's a misdemeanor?
