    Angry Getting Married again

Hello! My situation is quite complicated. 7 years ago I got married with an illegal alien but it ended 2 years ago. So our marraige was a real 5 years together that just crumbled. Right now I am dating and recently found out that he is also an illegal alien. If ever I got married with this guy I am dating right now will I have problems? Will they take away my citizenship? Considering my luck will he get denied.

What would lead you to believe your citizenship would be at risk?

Well they might just take your case as suspicious. You know, through interview and everything. They just want to make sure your marriage is legitime and you are not getting married just for papers... aka for money. Since is the second time it happens, they might raise a flag. But if everything is legitime, and you re telling the truth, i dont understand why they would take your cittinzeship away.

Most likely, a know-nothing friend put the thought into her head and it made her paranoid. It would be helpful if she would explain her concerns better, but from what she's said so far it sounds like utter nonsense.

Looking at the pattern and the length of the first marriage, the USCIS will probably question whether the second marriage is bona fide. It also would help to know if this new "illegal alien" entered the country legally. If not it will be (at best) much harder to get him status.
