My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Broward County, Florida. The company I work for rents apartments for workers who come from out of state. The company is the renter that is listed on the lease as well as all of the utilities (Cable, Water, Electricity & Internet). Normally when someone is fired or they quit, they pack up and leave the same day. We fired a guy yesterday and he is refusing to leave. We called the police department who told us that since he has lived there for 30+ days, he must be evicted through the courts. We need that apartment for his replacement since we pay the rent. How do we get him to leave? What are our options?
