    If you have owed a medical bill for two years, and the amount of the bill is unreasonable, what can you do?

    Among the possibilities: You can continue to not pay and see if the creditor takes legal action; or you can attempt to negotiate a lower payoff amount and, after getting that agreement reduced to writing, pay the agreed amount as a final settlement of the bill.
