    Default Can the Holder of Durable Power of Attorney Stop You From Managing Your Estate

    If you execute a durable power of attorney, but remain mentally competent, does the power of attorney give the attorney-in-fact any authority to overrule your wishes? An elderly man in California gave a durable power of attorney to his daughter, and now he wants to move to Nevada. She is trying to tell him that he can't move.
