Default Theft of a Money Order

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Nebraska. I purchased a MO on 12/06/16 from Wal-Mart. I brought it home and sat it on the table. On 12/09/16 my cousin came over my house while I wasn't home and left his items at my house. It was still there. He came over 12/09/16 to ask if he left his controller. I told him to look around where he left his stuff. Shortly after he left I was leaving to take the MO to its destination. It was no longer there. No other person was there. I called the Wal-Mart and they put in a stop payment. I filled out the form for the refund. If it was cashed how would I be able to find out where it was cashed? And how do I file charges after?

That would be a question for the place that issued the money order.

And how do I file charges after?
    Uh, call the police?
