Default How to Get the Other Driver's Insurance to Cover Your Accident Damage Claim

If you're backing up in a parking lot, you see another car backing up, you stop, and they continue to back up and hit you, how can you make their insurance company pay for the damage to your car? Their insurance company denies liability, and is trying to bill the driver who stopped for damages.

If you have collision coverage, make a claim through your own insurance company and let the two companies battle it out.

If you do not, then you can consider suing the other driver -- although if you sue in small claims court, be aware of the court's jurisdictional limit, as you cannot recover more than that amount even if the cost of repair is greater.
