Any time you are on any kind of "suspension" without pay for more than a day or two, you should go on and file for unemployment insurance. It sounds a lot like you threw a trash can at somebody, though you're not going to admit it. Unemployment insurance if you are terminated, have monetary eligibility, and are determined to be out of work through no fault of your own is your only recourse. They can believe, or choose to believe the story of anybody they want to in a work situation, there is no labor law that requires an employer to be fair or to believe one story over another.
