    Default How Long Do Evictions Stay On Credit Record

    Hello,

    How long does an eviction stay on record? I know in Pennsylavania is can only stay on record for 2 years. I am trying to this information in New York State. I was evicted three years ago and since then I have been living with roomate. I am back on my feet and want to get my own place. Does nyone know the precedures in NY state. Is there a way to esponge this record from the courts if it is still on record?

    It will likely stay on your standard credit history for up to 7-1/2 years.
