Default What is a Landlord's Duty to Address Bathroom Mold

A tenant in New York City has a problem with recurring mold in a bathroom. The tenant has used 311 to have housing inspectors come out, and after their visits the landlord has been ordered to repair the problem. The landlord then performs a superficial repair. His repair staff have indicated that the problem is that moisture within the wall space is penetrating into the drywall, and that the mold will continue to appear until the drywall is removed, plumbing problems behind the drywall are fixed, and new drywall is installed. The landlord won't perform that level of repair. What can the tenant do?
