Default Does a Landlord Have to Help a Tenant Enter a Rental Home if They're on the Lease

A couple has been separated for six months. The wife moved out, leaving some of her personal belongings in their apartment. She now wants to collect her belongings, but her husband says she can't enter unless he's present. Can she call the landlord and as the landlord to let her into the apartment? Does the landlord have to let her in?
