I apologize if this thread belongs in a different forum (traffic?), Not entirely sure where it should be.
My question involves court procedures for the state of Washington, Pierce County.
So once upon a time I got a ticket for negligent driving 2nd degree, thought I was screwed, hired an attorney to possibly reduce the infraction, ended up getting the case dismissed. When I got the news from the attorney, I didn't ask how or why, I was at work and had to make the call quick.
It's something I've always wondered about, and a recent traffic incident may have caused my curiosity to resurface (dealing with different infraction).
So, to the point, I've found I can request court records quite easily from my county (supposedly through email), and if the process remains simple, and cheap, I would like to end my curiousity while gaining a little experience.
I must identify the "specific documents" I am requesting, but I don't exactly know what specific documents I need to request. My question is which "documents" do I want, if all I really want to know is how the case was dismissed?
Part of me feels like I shouldn't bother wasting the court's time and resources for this, hell I sorta feel like im wasting your time with this, but I guess it's my right, and honestly it's just digging at me.
Thanks
