If you are arrested for a warrant for an old charge, and you show after the arrest that you had gone to court on that charge and that the warrant was quashed, can you sue the agency that arrested you for false arrest?

If the warrant is showing up in the police system as active, they are going to treat it as active. Errors sometimes happen, but unless the police knew or reasonably should have known that the warrant was not valid they cannot be sued for their acting in good faith upon the erroneous record of an active warrant.
