    Default Can a Married Person File for a Visa While Claiming to be Single

    If you are applying for a F1 visa and are married, can you claim that you are single? The F1 applicant is married to a legal permanent resident.

    Nobody in their right mind is going to advise somebody to lie on an immigration form that will be filed with the U.S. government.
