Default Re: What is the Statute of Limitations for Sexual Assault of a Minor

For a sexual assault that is a Class A felony, including aggravated sexual assault on a minor and most first degree sexual assault charges, there is no statute of limitations.

The statute of limitations sexual abuse of a minor is normally thirty years from when the victim reaches the age of 18, or up to five years from the date the victim notifies the police or a prosecutor of the crime, whichever period ends first.
