An immigrant has petitioned to adjust her status based on marriage, but filled out the application with her maiden name. She now wants to change the application to use her married name. How can she do that?

She can contact the USCIS to see if they have a mechanism for changing the name on an application that has been received and is being processed. However, the easiest solution is simply to continue with the application under the name she used when she filed, and to request a name change at the time of her interview with the USCIS. For any attempt to amend the application, I suggest working with an immigration lawyer.
