    Default Can a Parent of a Child Born in the USA Get Legal Status

    If a couple is in the United States when their child is born, such that the child is a U.S. citizen, can they get permanent residency based upon their having a U.S. citizen child?

    Read this.

    When the child is 21, the child may petition for the parents' immigration.
