    If the parents of minor children are arrested, what happens to their minor children?

    If the children are already in the care of responsible adults, most likely they will remain in the care of those adults. If not, then they are likely to be taken into the custody of the state by protective services. What happens next will depend upon whether any appropriate relatives can be found who are able and willing to take a placement. The children can end up in state care or a foster home.
