    Default FMLA Leave and Doctor Conflict of Interest

    An employee of a medical practice received surgery from a doctor with the practice. She is approaching the end of her twelve weeks of FMLA leave. She is concerned that the doctor who treated her is not going to approve her return to work, and that she'll lose her job. What should she do?

    Under the circumstances, if she believes she is capable of returning to work, she should seek clearance from an independent doctor of her own choosing.
