    Default Regaining Status After Long-Term Overstay

    :?: Hi ive been living in the us for 8 years and i was first here on a visa that now has expired. If any one has any advice on what i could do to get out or to get back to a legal status asap please let me know. is there an amnesty coming soon or not.

    I suggest you consult with an immigration lawyer about the specifics of your situation. To get lawful statuts, you will probably have to leave the country and apply for lawful entry.
