My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
Hi:
I am in the appeals process and I have run into a problem with the court, more-so, than probation.
Probation has allowed me to live in another county while waiting for the transfer to officially go through. However, when the court was called (not sure why) "the court" told them that unless I dropped my appeal I could not stay in my county and that I would have to move there. I spoke with a few people who had the same transferring officer and they have had no problems transferring. Also, I was told by probation that they have transferred people on appeals before without a problem.
If I was filling a Habeas Corpus Petition would probation/the court not allow my transfer to go through as well? I'm![]()
Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?
