Couple is married for 25 years, they divorce due to his having an affair with a woman he subsequently marries. He and the woman move from IL to ARK. He leaves behind 3 children (twin 17 year oldboys and12 year old daughter) and she takes her 3 children (3 boys 17, 13,9) to live with them in ARK. He sees his children for approx. 36 hours every two months or so. He calls them occasionally for very brief conversations. Gives them minimum gifts for birthday's and christmas (sweatshirt and a book). Yet, spluges on her kids (laptop, wii, motorcycles etc.). I know that the IL law is very restrictive when it comes to alienation of affection and that it will only pay actual damages and that it is usually utilized for the spouse. Couldn't it be used for the children? These kids should get the benefit of their fathers labor, just as much as his step kids.

Granted, no law can make him be a good father.
