Default Can an Employer Sue an Employee

If an employer discovers that an employee has been using company equipment for personal reasons, a side job, can the employer sue the employee?

Default Re: Can an Employer Sue an Employee

Yes, although the value of the misappropriation would have to be large enough to justify that cost or effort. In some cases the misappropriation might constitute theft or embezzlement, in which case the employer might instead (or also) consider criminal prosecution.
