Default Are You Still Eligible for COBRA if You Resign

An employee was told that if she resigns from her job, she won't be eligible to continue her health insurance premiums under COBRA, and that the extension can only be claimed if you are fired. Is that correct?

No, it's not correct. When COBRA applies to your health insurance coverage, you are eligible for COBRA continuation whether you resign or are fired.
