I tried to ask another attorney. He did not want to get involved because I was so close to my prelim. hearing. I have not got any official word from my attorney that he has dropped me. So on we go. I have recieved a letter of character from my church pastor, one from a friend and one from my grandma that I am a caretaker for.Do they get read by the judge at the hearing? If I accept a plea deal and can the judge read these and can offer me another deal ?
Its the DA not the judge that often offers plea deals.
Getting another Attorney will be tough this close to date but what I had suggested was you get another "opinion" not another Lawyer.
Your right on getting another opinion. Now, when I tried to talk to another attorney he said he did not give out opinions and I would have to hire him to help me. I would also like to point out that in the end it is up to the judge to decide a case no matter what the DA puts forward. I believe it is call Judgisiary decression.
True but whatever "deal" is agreed upon is between either both Attorneys or defendant and Attorney
