Default Is a Homeowner Required to Cut Grass on Both Sides of a Fence

If a homeowner erects a fence on the property line, is that homeowner required to maintain both sides of the fence and cut weeds on both sides of the fence? If the homeowner who erected the fence does not cut weeds on the back side of the fence, what are the rights of the neighbor who is on the other side of the fence?

Default Re: Is a Homeowner Required to Cut Grass on Both Sides of a Fence

Generally speaking each neighbor will be responsible for the cutting of grass and removal of weeds up to the property line. If the fence was erected in violation of setback rules, that's something that the neighbor who did not erect the fence may address with local zoning officials or the building department.
