    Default Credit Card Debt In Bankruptcy

    i have 2 credit cards that i still owe on and if i file for bankruptcy do i still need to pay off those credit cards anyways? Everett, Wa

    If you file Chapter 7 bankruptcy and the credit cards are discharged, that would end your obligation. In a Chapter 13 bankruptcy you would be put on a repayment plan which would likely include partially repaying the credit cards.
