Default Complaints About Noise Made by Children

If your neighbors complain to your landlord or call the police, claiming that your children are pounding on the walls and deliberately making noise, what can happen? The police found no evidence that the accusations were true. Can your landlord evict you?

If the police don't find reason to act, then there won't be a criminal charge.

If your children are making noise deliberately, you need to exercise your role as a parent to get them to stop.

If you or an occupant of your unit makes excessive noise, that's a potential basis to terminate your tenancy. If you're month-to-month, your landlord could potentially give you notice to end your tenancy.
