I was driving on the 401 with some snowfall and reduced visibility. I though 100 was an OK speed when I came up to a cop followed by three cars. I decided to pass him, but made sure I was below 100. Just as I did, my wife called and I picked up the cell. He pulled me over, and charged me for C/D because I was going too fast for the conditions and I was talking on the phone.
He told me I had the option of fighting the ticket, and if I did I'd get it reduced, but I'm not sure to what. Talking on the cell is not illegal in Ontario, and neither is driving under the speed limit.
It's purely his judgment call against mine, I thought 100 was fine, he was going about 80.
Anyone with advice on how to fight this?
