My question involves criminal law for the state of: Tennessee. Just last night, I was pulled over with my friend in the car because I had a headlight out and my tags were expired. He asked to search my car and I let him so I wouldn't be on his bad side. He found 2 cases of alcohol that my friend, who is 21, just bought an hour ago. However, in my backpack I had a small, opened bottle of vodka. Now, the bottle was basically completely full and I'll tell you the story behind it. I got it from my same friend so I could try it but I took literally 2 sips of it 3 weeks before the incident occurred and I hated it and it made me gag so I was giving it to my friend who is in the car with me. I just want to know punishments a 19 year old can face when this is my first offense and only one or two sips were gone and I was in the middle of returning it to my friend who is 21. Please help, I'm kind of freaking out a little.
