Will a judge consider the testimony of an adult child relevant in court?
The adult child is no different from any other witness. Beyond that, it depends on the facts.
The test for relevancy is not the relationship of the witness to any party in the case. Rather, relevancy is determined by the subject matter that the witness will testify about. For example, if the child has personal knowledge that one of the parties to the divorce has property that the party has not disclosed then the child’s testimony regarding that property would be relevant because it bears on the issue of the property division in the divorce.
