Default Is There a Long-Term Visa for Visitors

If you are engaged to somebody and want them to come into the U.S. to stay with you for extended periods of time -- four to six months -- while you support them and pay all of their expenses, is there a visa that is available to enable you to do that? This is not a situation where the couple wants to rush into marriage, or get married during a visit.
