Default Are You Eligible for Work Release if Your Fines Are Not Paid

If you are in jail, and have not been able to pay off your fines, can you still apply for a work release program? Will you be denied eligibility if you don't have your fines and costs fully paid off?

Default Re: Are You Eligible for Work Release if Your Fines Are Not Paid

I have never heard of a work release program that required an inmate to pay off all of his or her fines and assessments in order to be eligible. I can't rule out the possibility, but it would be odd and counter-productive given that the fastest way for a typical jail inmate to get money to pay off fines is to get a job.
