Default Tenant Committed Fraud on a Rental Application, and is Filing Bankruptcy

I have a former tenant who owes money for rent. I found out that she lied about her job and income on her rental application, and used friends as fake references. If she files bankruptcy can I use her fraud to stop her from discharging the rent debt?

I am skeptical that it's worth trying -- the effort of collection is likely to consume your time and money with little prospect of recovery.

I am also skeptical that a court will find that a fraudulent rent application is sufficiently connected to a subsequent rent default so as to prevent discharge.
