Default Filing Bankruptcy to Stop Wage Garnishment

I owe a lot of money after getting cancer, which is now in remission. I just got served with a notice of garnishment over a judgment I didn't know about. Should I file for bankruptcy?

It makes sense for you to consult a bankruptcy lawyer. Your lawyer can help you review your financial situation, debts and assets, to see if bankruptcy is the right decision for you and whether you should pursue Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
