My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Florida

advice and suggestions on how to prepare myself.
This one is not so much a case of finding some law to cite to the judge. Rather, what matters are (1) the terms of the contract you had (if any) with the contractor and (2) what work did the contractor actually do? If it gets to trialThe contractor will need to prove there was a contract and what the price terms were and what work he did. You will want to counter with any evidence that you have that there was no contract or that the contract was something different than the contractor claims it was. The mediation will be a good chance for you to ask the contractor how he arrives at his bill and to offer what you think is the right price for the job.
