Call Home Depot, Lowe's and two other electrical supply houses and get the price in writing for the breaker and bring it to court with you. If he is charging $220 for the part and the other four places are charging $70 to $90, then I would think that the judge would side with you and you would owe the contractor $80. But if you get prices from $180 to $220, then I bet you would be stuck with paying the $220. Look at the breaker in your box that they replaced and make sure you get a price on the SAME exact one.
You also state that you received an invoice for an additional $320 and $80. Break those charges down for us so we can figure out what they are for.
