My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: South Carolina

I recently purchased a tenant occupied property. 30 day notice to vacate the garage on the property was given 7/18, the date rent was first due after the acquisition. At the same time, 60 days notice (ending 9/18) to vacate the house was also given. Rent was finally paid 7/27.

The garage and house are both (according to the tenants) seriously deficient and unsafe. They also don't want to move. Both places need work, and the garage really does have immediate safety issues.

Can repairs be started before eviction process (to begin Monday) is complete? What kind of notice needs to be given?
