My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Tennessee.
I've been thinking about emancipation for awhile now but now it seems that it is my only option. I was wondering if I tried if I had valid reasoning for emancipation. I am 16 years old, I go to school, and have a way to support myself. My parents verbally abuse me (about my weight, appearance, abilities, etc) and have my whole life planned out so that i attend school, work, and am on two sports teams; I'm beginning to think that this schedule is going to make my grades start to drop which will hurt me in my future plans of going to college. They also know I have been being bullied at school for almost a year now but refuse to transfer me no matter the circumstances. I would like to be emancipated so that I can enroll myself in to a better school, plan my life approprietly to fit my future plans, and all around get away from the enviroment I'm in. Would my case pass in the court of law?
