Reporting the Sexual Abuse of a Child

My meaning of not being played, is that I know the person on the other end is indeed the person she says she is. I asked her to do specific things, non sexual, to prove her identity. This is standard for me. Additionally, I am certain she wasn't lying about sexual assaults on her daughter. She sent photographic images of herself in urine and excrement, expressed interest in bestiality and incestuous scenarios, so it wasn't a big leap.
She does live in a neighboring county. To me that's local, jurisdiction wise may be a different story. I don't know.
I never received photos or videos of her with her daughter, I said she offered.
I didn't necessarily encourage her, but I didn't let on, and asked questions in an effort to maximize damage against her.
It was innocent, and fun initially, until she crossed a line and I stumbled into this nightmare. My goal is to get the child away from this monster.
Why people are calling bullshit, is beyond me.

It would however also make sense for anyone "caught" in the same situation to of course deny feeling anything other than sick to the stomach.

(Just how the conversation switched to child porn in the first place is ... curious. How does that even happen without both parties at least being verbally curious about it?)

Actually, after re-reading the original post, I think you have a point.

Depending on exactly what was said and when, it may not be too much of a stretch to believe he actually (and actively) encouraged the woman.

Maybe ... Clearly he was engaging in raucous <gag> banter. But, no matter how much he may have asked for images, he did not commit the act. The woman on the other end appears to have asked if he wanted to see what she has done to her daughter, not whether he wanted her to do it.

So, doesn't much matter, and I still don't see the statements as mutually exclusive. I have often seen reporting parties present info and ask if it is enough. Usually what they have is not sufficient to legally take action as most people overestimate the strength of what they think is evidence. No way to know for sure here.

Wait ... so, there are no images of the little girl involved in any sexual acts? If there are no such images, then it is unlikely that any action can be taken based solely on texts. The police or CPS can certainly ask some questions, but, their ability to get a search warrant or make an arrest is diminished.

There are some sick people that engage in sexual chats. And it also appears there are sick people who get their jollies getting a rise out of others who engage in sexual chats. Personally, I have never once thought that there could be any enjoyment in such expression ... kind of repulsive to me.

I'm all for two consenting adults doing whatever it is they want to do via the Internet but the very second it infringes on someone else's rights, I have a problem with it.
