Exclamation Does a Minor Still Get Survivor Benefits After Emancipation

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Kansas. I am 15 years old, my dad was a Military retiree and past away in 2011. Ever since then my mom has received money for me and my sister. She herself use to have income but she got remarried and that cut off her income from Survivors benefits. It has been a struggle between me and my mom and I've thought about emancipation. I was just wondering if I were to follow through with that would my Survivors benefits be cut off?

Default Re: Survivors Benefits/Income of a Wanting to Be Emancipated Minor

It's a moot point since a 15 year old cannot be emancipated in Kansas. Nor have you provided any valid reason why a court would emancipate you even if you were old enough.
