Hon, please don't take this the wrong way ... but if you have 3 kids to support, and after 48 months of unsuccessful job-hunting you still need help from the State (taxpayers), you may want to consider changing custody to the father/s.

Or giving them up for adoption.

You can only receive TANF for 48 months. How have you been supporting yourself and your 3 children all this time ? If you have income and are on TANF and you don't report it, you could lose the TANF before you've had it for 48 months. You can also lose your and possibly your childrens food stamps if you don't report income. TANF does have work requirements.

"Work Requirement: All adult recipients have a work requirement, and are required to participate in work activities and training for at least 30 hours weekly. These work activities help recipients gain the experience needed to find a job and become self-sufficient."

Depending in how much money you receive/make, you may not be eligible for TANF. You will have to name the fathers of all three children and sign papers giving the State of Georgia permission to take them to court for child support to reimburse the state.

Then you'll want the absolute best for them, right? Good. Find a job, start providing for yourself and your children, and the tax-payers will give you no angst whatsoever. (It's supporting someone else's kids that tends to rile people up).

If you're not working though, how are you supporting your kids? Serious question.
