Default Do You Have to Pay Duty or Import Taxes on a Work Computer

I'm living and working in Luxembourg and will be going back to the US in about a week and change for a conference. I've been living in Luxembourg for almost 9 months now. Problem is that I have a laptop (a MacBook, so with a fairly high value) for work, owned by my employer, that I need to bring back with me. I'm just going to be back in the states for three weeks before leaving again to Luxembourg.

I've been looking through the CBP website, but I wasn't able to find my answer, so here's the question:

1.) For import tax purposes, would I be considered a U.S. resident or a visitor? (Difference is an $800 vs. $100 exemption, except...)

2.) If I am considered a resident, is there a way I can bring the laptop temporarily into the US without having to pay duty or import tax?

Its a used, not a new laptop, its your company property and it will not be remaining in the US. It is NOT an import of any kind. Its not something that you would declare.
